International Women's Day is a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women around the world. As a female entrepreneur running a small business overseas, I understand the importance of lifting up and empowering other women.
I want to take this opportunity to share with you how I run my business overseas. It is not an easy task, but with passion and determination, anything is possible. My business involves designing products from scratch and producing them in Turkey, where my team of seven talented women work alongside me.
Everything starts with an idea in my mind. I envision the product and then reach out to fabric companies to order materials that will bring my designs to life. Once we receive the fabric samples, we begin the sample processing phase. I send my drawings to my workroom manager, who coordinates with our team of skilled sewers to create the product samples. They then send me videos and images of the samples being tried on our model dogs in Turkey. If we like what we see, we begin washing the samples multiple times to test the fabrics' durability and how they react to use.
After the samples pass our rigorous quality tests, we begin real production, creating 200-500 pieces of each design. It takes a lot of hard work and timeless hours to bring my ideas to life, but I am grateful for my team's commitment to excellence and their shared vision.
The finished products are then sent to retailers in Turkey and to storage facilities in the USA, where we can reach a wider audience and connect with more amazing women. It is an honor to work alongside my team of strong and talented women, who pour their hearts into every product we make. They may be invisible to our website and social media, but without them, our brand would not be as successful as it is today.
On this International Women's Day, I want to thank my team and all the incredible women out there who inspire me to keep pushing forward. Let's continue to lift each other up and empower one another to achieve our dreams.
